01/2011: Record project for Dutch-owned Heavy Lifter was delivered in January 2011.

The Heavy Lifter, with its 50,000 dwt, was developed for the worldwide transportation of large scale systems. 

The ship is capable of transporting exceedingly oversized and extremely heavy consignments, and, in spite of its size, the vessel is relatively fast. As a result of these parameters and, to some extent, almost unbelievable dimensions it is indispensable that solely those systems be installed that guarantee an infinite degree of reliability particularly in situations involving extraordinary large and heavy loads. 

It is exactly for this reason that the Chinese shipyard has chosen the proven reliability of our S-two. 

• 532 electro-hydraulic actuators mounted on butterfly valves of various sizes,
• entirely connected via Smart ShipBus,
• controlled via redundant PLCs located in 2 control cabinets.

Almost 350 different kinds of tank-measuring sensors are directly connected to the centralised intelligence of the actuator (LPU – Local Processing Units). The data is processed and transferred directly to the PLC. 

In 2010 the follow-up order was placed and is at present being finalized and tested.
